The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt just finished a successful Broadway stint in the musical Chicago. It was a dream come true for the reality star. After competing on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars and being cut just shy of the finale, she graduated to the Broadway stage. And Whitney just dropped a bomb about her future.
Whitney announces her SLOMW exit

According to TMZ, in a video of Whitney’s final performance as Roxie Hart, she made a stunning announcement. During the clip, she read from a piece of paper. “What is that? Whitney … let me see. Whitney Leavitt announces she’s leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” the actress said. Then she drank in the cheers and thunderous applause that followed.
Meanwhile, rumors had swirled about Whitney getting her own SLOMW spinoff. So, she and her husband, Conner Leavitt, made a humorous TikTok leaning into the gossip. Of course, Whitney has been a controversial figure on SLOMW. She often played the villain. Plus, Whitney clashed with other MomTok members, who questioned her reasons for being part of the group.
After a brief break, Whitney made it clear that she only returned for Season 3 of SLOMW so that she could audition for DWTS. Naturally, this rubbed some of her co-stars the wrong way. Another SLOMW star, Jen Affleck, also competed on Season 34 of DWTS. Of course, Whitney and Jen feuded during Season 4. Mostly, Whitney was upset that Jen didn’t congratulate her for landing her role in Chicago.
However, Whitney’s announcement wasn’t a shock as her star is rising. She is currently starring in and executive producing a holiday romantic comedy. With her family and growing work commitments, Whitney has a full plate. Fans will have to wait and see if Whitney pops up at all in Season 5 of SLOMW.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
