Yesterday, Whitney Leavitt announced her exit from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Rumors about her possible exit had already been swirling for a while. So, during her final performance of Chicago on Broadway, Whitney finally addressed her fans, teasing that these rumors might be true. And then, she went online, where she further confirmed her departure.
Whitney hopped on social media to address the “rumors”
While playing the role of Roxie Hart one final time, Whitney read aloud from a piece of paper. “What is that? Whitney … let me see. Whitney Leavitt announces she’s leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” she said, as the audience broke into a round of loud applause.
Then, today, Whitney went online to host a “conversation” surrounding that announcement. As she explained, she is “finishing” SLOMW Season 5. However, Season 5 will be her “last,” she confessed. For fans, this comes as a huge surprise, as Whitney has starred on this series since its debut in 2024.
Regardless, Whitney has enjoyed the ride. “It’s honestly so crazy to me looking back on this journey because I had been trying to get into theater and film way before Secret Lives even came into my life,” she confessed. But then, this reality series “fell into my life organically and I said yes to it.” This path was not exactly what she had always “envisioned in my mind to get to where I am today,” she admitted, but even still, she noted, she “wouldn’t change a thing.”
In speaking about her costars, Whitney said, “We have been through so much together, even more than what you’ve seen. We’ve had really big highs, really big lows, and no matter what happens with our relationships, like, that is something that will always be a part of our life.”
Whitney feels “ready for the next chapter,” she shared. “And I can not wait to share with you guys what’s next,” she added, expertly leaving her followers on a cliffhanger, as any well-seasoned reality TV star does.
