Sebastian Stan Finally Opens up About Expecting Baby With Annabelle Wallis

Sebastian Stan opens up for the first time about becoming a father as he prepares to welcome his first baby with girlfriend Annabelle Wallis. The Marvel star reflected on fatherhood, masculinity, and responsibility while discussing his upcoming film Fjord in a recent interview.

Sebastian Stan on expecting baby no. 1 with Annabelle Wallis: ‘I want to be a good dad’

Stan revealed to Deadline that preparing for fatherhood pushed him to think deeply about what it means to be both a good man and a good parent. While promoting Fjord, the 43-year-old actor admitted he had been reading extensively about masculinity, emotional growth, and the challenges young people face today.

“I want to be a good dad,” Stan shared during the interview. He later added that he felt the “responsibility” of becoming a good father and role model while entering this new phase of life.

The actor explained that Fjord unexpectedly mirrored parts of his personal journey. In the film, Stan portrays a father forced to confront his own values, identity, and responsibilities after moving his family from Romania to Norway. The role also marks Stan’s first performance in his native Romanian language.

As part of the transformation, Stan dramatically changed his appearance for the role by shaving his head and wearing fake teeth. Despite the physical changes, he said he never hesitated because his focus remained on serving the story rather than maintaining his movie-star image.

Stan also reflected on modern masculinity and expressed concern about the lack of healthy role models for young men. He discussed emotional vulnerability, mental health, and the importance of teaching boys how to process difficult emotions instead of suppressing them.

The actor’s comments came months after news broke that he and Wallis were expecting their first child together. Pregnancy speculation first surfaced after the couple stepped out in New York, where Wallis appeared to show off her baby bump in a loose black dress.

Stan and the Peaky Blinders actress first sparked romance rumors in 2022 before making more public appearances together throughout 2024 and 2025, including awards shows and film premieres.
