Real Housewives of Beverly Hills former cast member Camille Grammer revealed an alleged text from her ex. She was formerly married to actor Kelsey Grammer.
The couple, who tied the knot in 1997, split in 2010 and divorced the following year. Their separation was documented on RHOBH’s first season.
Kelsey Grammer allegedly said he felt “no remorse” about the divorce
On the Monday, May 18 episode of Humble Brag, Camille told hosts Cynthia Bailey and Crystal Kung Minkoff, “When you asked me if [he said] I’m sorry or remorse … he sent me a text saying, ‘I feel no remorse for what I am doing,’” she claimed. “And that was very harsh because I was very much in love with him and I believed he was very much in love with me. We did have very many good years in our marriage and a lot of fun times.”
Camille noted she has not spoken to Kelsey in 14 years, and the two do not coparent. The former couple have two children, daughter Mason, 24, and son Jude, 21. She described the arrangement of raising the kids, saying, “He called it parallel parenting and that’s what it was like.”
She described the dynamic with her ex on the podcast, saying, “I did come into his orbit, so I understand that. But I became friends with a lot of people in his orbit,” she noted. “And I also helped him keep it together … I’m not responsible for his sobriety, he’s responsible for his sobriety but I helped him and held his hand through it. It wasn’t easy.”
She thinks Kelsey wanted her to disappear, saying, “But then no, here I am and now I can defend myself.”
Camille said she sympathizes with Housewives going through a divorce while on the Bravo shows. “I feel bad for every woman going through divorce that people watch [on] these shows and defend the ex-husband. I hate that,” she said. “Not all these ladies are perfect … but we’re still moms and we have children.”
