Taylor Frankie Paul ‘Officially a Solo Home Owner’ Amid Continued Drama

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul is officially an independent woman. Amid all the baby daddy drama and the cancelation of her Bachelorette season, Taylor bought herself a house.

“Officially a solo home owner, and thank you to the best real estate agent in Utah @liann_may,” Taylor announced via Instagram on May 18. In case you don’t recognize the name, her agent is also her mom, Liann May.

“I see the sadness through the excitement but I am trying,” Taylor added. Against a track of The Verve’s 1997 hit Bitter Sweet Symphony, Taylor celebrated with a giant cardboard key while confetti rained down.

The SLOMW star closed on her first solo house sale

Earlier this month, Taylor informed her fans that she was in the process of buying her first home. “I just  bought my first house on my own,” she shared on May 6 via her Instagram Stories. “[I had] been renting for years.”

Becoming a homeowner is a big accomplishment for the single mom following months of turmoil in both her personal and professional lives.

In March, ABC canceled her season of The Bachelorette just three days before it was set to premiere. At the time, both she and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, were under investigation for an alleged domestic violence incident. Filming for SLOMW Season 5 was also temporarily paused.

The investigation blew up when bodycam and cellphone footage leaked from a previous DV incident with Dakota in 2023. At that time, Taylor pled guilty to aggravated assault and received probation.

Fortunately, Taylor and Dakota’s most recent case was settled in April, when the Salt Lake County DA declined to file criminal charges.

Though she and Dakota renewed their intent to parent peacefully together, Taylor temporarily lost custody of their 2-year-old son Ever. While awaiting a June 1 court date, Taylor was granted supervised visitation of their son. In addition, both parents were granted protective orders requiring them to stay 100 feet away from each other.

In addition to Ever, Taylor also shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, with her ex-husband Tate Paul.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu.
