During the debut of In The City, a “worried” Kyle Cooke invited Amanda Batula over, trying to get to the bottom of the rumors involving her possible affair with West Wilson. Even if it was just an “emotional affair,” Kyle still wanted answers. Needless to say, this Summer House spinoff is off to a wild, messy start.
The Summer House stars are now appearing on spinoff In The City
In the opening scene of In The City, headlines (including our own) announced Kyle and Amanda’s divorce. Immediately after, headlines that broke only two months ago aired, showing Amanda and West confirming their secret romance. Finally, clips from Watch What Happens Live presented, showing Amanda, West, and Kyle denying romantic claims between Amanda and West.
Finally, the show began, with cameras picking back up on April 9 to catch the fallout of the truth in real-time. When Amanda arrived at Kyle’s new apartment, he admitted that he was worried about her. “I’m worried about me, too,” Amanda confessed. As Kyle explained, he invited his estranged wife over to “clear things up.”
Throughout Season 10 of Summer House, Amanda “looked like [she was] done with [him],” Kyle said. Amanda found that “so frustrating” to hear, because “I gave our relationship everything I had.” They went back and forth about this for a while, each growing emotional as they spoke. And then, Kyle asked the question on everyone’s minds, wondering if there was any truth to the rumors that she had an affair, “even if it was an emotional affair,” with West during filming.
“Nothing was happening,” Amanda said, crying. “All I wanted was for us to make it work. For you to even question my, like, faithfulness in any capacity, like really f*cking hurts,” she added.
“That’s not the type of person that I am. Like, I would step out on you or cheat,” Amanda further claimed. She then reminded Kyle that he was the one who cheated during their marriage, not, allegedly, her.
In The City continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
