Michols Peña is Southern Hospitality’s hardworking Assistant General Manager. But a troubling email he received suggested that management was transitioning him.
So was Michols demoted? Short answer: No. The latest sneak peek of the show gives some insight into what happened.
Michols has had a pretty exciting Season 4 so far. Alongside working hard at Republic, he flew back to the Dominican Republic with his friends, strengthened his relationship with his mom, and landed his first professional modeling cover!
A new position was created for Michols Peña on Southern Hospitality
It’s not all been smooth sailing for Michols. An earlier feud with Molly Moore looks like it’s about to blow up again. Plus, Michols also found himself on the outs with his friend Emmy Sharrett after she repeatedly refused to see how her actions impact the people around her.
Then, just as Molly mentioned karma coming back for Michols, he received an email stating that management was transitioning him out of his AGM role at Republic. He was so distraught that the episode ended with him crying over the email with Maddi Reese.
In the latest sneak peek, though, we find out that Michols wasn’t demoted. Leva Bonaparte created a new position for him.
“I think that when I first got that email, I was distraught,” he admitted. “But then I had to remind myself that in the past I had had conversations about what a position would look like with more autonomy.”
He opened up to Leva about also wanting to pursue his modeling career, but still giving his all to Republic. And to help him, she created a new position for him. “It’s not a demotion by any means,” she said. “But I just don’t want you to feel that you need to do the Thursday, Friday, Saturday grind. I want you to be able to spread your wings. But I also don’t want to lose you.”
Leva admitted that Michols was one of the best AGMs they’ve had, so they created a position for him that would allow him to continue to work for them and pursue his modeling interests.
Southern Hospitality airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
