The legal battle between Leah McSweeney and Bravo just took another unexpected turn. The former Real Housewives of New York star filed paperwork accusing NBCUniversal executive Jennifer Geisser of orchestrating a smear campaign involving a bunch of your favorite Real Housewives stars, and she says the damage to her career is ongoing.
Jenn is the Executive Vice President of Communications and Talent Relations for NBCU’s unscripted business. Essentially, she’s like the head publicist for a bunch of the Bravolebs, including Andy Cohen. According to Leah, she sent a mob of Housewives after her in the aftermath of her lawsuit.
The former RHONY star’s attorneys made a new filing in her lawsuit

Leah’s lawsuit was first filed in February 2024, where she accused Andy and Bravo of creating a toxic work environment and weaponizing her alcoholism for a storyline.
The former RHONY star submitted additional paperwork to the court on Tuesday, May 26, which was reviewed by Page Six. In the new filing, Leah accused Jenn of using other Real Housewives to try to discredit her case.
The court filing says that Leah “has obtained additional information concerning the alleged coordination of the public statements by Bravo-affiliated personalities and related public relations efforts involving Defendant Cohen’s publicist, Jennifer Geisser.”
The paperwork goes on to reference nearly two dozen Housewives who publicly cast doubt on Leah’s claims. Those names include Housewives heavyweights from coast to coast, including Kyle Richards, Dorinda Medley, Heather Dubrow, Melissa Gorga, and Wendy Osefo. She said their “retaliatory media campaign” is ongoing and continuing to cause her professional harm.
Judge Lewis Liman is handling the case. That’s the same New York judge who just oversaw the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively debacle. He knows a thing or two about messy, high-profile lawsuits and has already ruled that this one can play out in an open court. They haven’t yet scheduled a trial date. In the meantime, Leah’s lawyer is foaming at the mouth at the opportunity to air out Andy and Bravo.
Her lawyer said, “We believe we have addressed the Court’s previous concerns and look forward to moving into discovery and ultimately questioning the defendants under oath — including Mr. Cohen, who will no longer be able to hide behind his Housewives.”
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
