Dorit Kemsley spends as she pleases, but her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars still worry about the size of her wallet. So, Dorit just addressed their concerns, alongside the rumors involving her finances. And this is what she had to say.
What Dorit Kemsley said about the money speculation
Before Dorit can enjoy her cigs and let go, she first wants to address the rumors surrounding her finances. Dorit came under fire during Season 15 for “spending too much money” in the Hamptons. But, as she recently told Extra’s Terri Seymour, now feels like a “good time” to finally tell her story about that.
Last month, PK Kemsley filed a motion to force the sale of their formerly shared home. In his filings, he slammed Dorit for reportedly spending over $1 Million on luxury items. Meanwhile, their home was creeping toward foreclosure. On this, Dorit explained that she had a response, but “when you’re in litigation, you have to follow the legal process.”
Eventually, though, she said, “I think there’ll be answers to everything. But when you hear one version or one narrative, there’s always another side.” That said, Dorit did admit that she enjoyed shopping.
“Do I love fashion? Yes. Do I spend a lot of money on clothes? Expensive clothes? Designer clothes? Yes. It is my choice,” Dorit argued, adding, “It’s also my money. It’s my money that I earn, that I work for, not his money.”
Since they are still “intertwined, there’s some sort of feeling like you can have a say in what the other one is spending,” Dorit continued. Regarding their house, “PK and I had an agreement when we separated, and you follow that agreement,” she said. “So, I didn’t plan for the mortgage not being paid, and it was never brought to my attention.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock.
