In a sneak peek of next week’s Real Housewives of Rhode Island, the ladies take a couples trip to Block Island. The island is an 11-square-mile retreat, 12 miles off the Rhode Island coast. As everyone gathers at the pier, someone asks, “Who are we still waiting on?”
“Rulla [Pontarelli] and Brian [Pontarelli], I think,” Kelsey Swanson responds.
Meanwhile, in a production confessional, Rulla admits, “I have mixed feelings about being stuck on the island with Jo-Ellen [Tiberi]. [I never know] what card she’s going to try to potentially pull up next.”
Can the RHORI cast come together in the end?
Once Rulla and Brian finally arrive, everyone hurries to board the Block Island Ferry. As they’re dragging all their luggage aboard, Ashley Iaconetti’s husband Jared Haibon jokes, “Is this a bad time to let everybody know I get seasick?”
“Block Island to Rhode Islanders is their Caribbean,” Ashley narrates. “They really think, ‘Why go to Hawaii when you get a Block Island?'”
But Kelsey isn’t just referring to the weather when she says, “It is so cold, and the tension’s a little thick right now. I hope this is not a foreshadow of how the weekend’s gonna go.”
When they arrive at the beach, they are each handed a strawberry daiquiri in a pineapple shell. Yum! They have the whole beach to themselves, probably because it’s so cold. Just like the Caribbean.
Jo-Ellen approaches Liz McGraw and asks her to take a walk. Even though they met up for dinner following their fight at Frank Sinatra night, “it didn’t go well.” Everyone hopes they can “move forward with this, [since] they’ve been so close for so long.”
“Well, I guess we’ll find out soon,” Kelsey concludes.
