Meghan Markle’s former friend and royal expert Nick Ede shared his doubts over a possible reunion with the royals, particularly Prince William and Kate Middleton. He predicted that the couple may remain close to the King and Queen in private. However, a public reunion is reportedly impossible.
Ede told Cafe Casino: “I don’t think we will [see a public royal reunion]. I think that [Meghan] will remain close to the King and Queen in private moments but not publicly or with William and Kate.”
For those unversed, on July 10, the Sussexes, along with their children, met King Charles and Queen Camilla. As per reports, they had to follow a strict set of rules for their private meeting with Charles and Camilla. They were reportedly not allowed to have any cameras, make any subsequent social media posts, or make any revelations in interviews afterward.
A source shared: “Charles has let him know that he is really looking forward to seeing his grandchildren. Harry is looking forward to the visit and to building bridges. That is what everyone wants.”
Furthermore, Ede also commented on Markle’s recent, highly publicized appearance on MasterChef Australia as a celebrity judge for finale week. The former friend of the Duchess claimed the move was “confusing for her fans.”
Moreover, he also discussed how Markle did not want to be referred to as “Duchess” on the show. Ede said: “She wanted to drop it so she could be more relatable to the contestants and the audience, but the whole episode was centred around a dish fit for a duchess, and she will have been briefed on this when they pitched it to her, so it feels confusing that she wanted to drop it!”
