Meghan King just lost custody of her children with Jim Edmonds, her ex-husband. Jim is now their temporary full-time caregiver. As is Kortnie Edmonds, his wife. However, Meghan doesn’t get along with Kortnie or Jim, so things might get messier. To backtrack, Meghan and Jim tied the knot in 2014, only to split five years later in 2019. During their break-up, Meghan accused Jim of cheating. But according to Jim, he only engaged in an “inappropriate conversation” with their former nanny. And now, he and Meghan are barely communicating at all.
Meghan and Jim’s new wife Kortnie also don’t get along, and now there are brand new custody issues after repeated drama.

Meghan and Jim had three children during their short-lived marriage. Their daughter, Aspen, was born in 2016. Then, in 2018, they welcomed twin sons, Hayes and Hart. In 2020, Hart was diagnosed with hypotonic cerebral palsy. His health challenges did not help an already tense marriage.
During their contentious divorce proceedings, Meghan and Jim settled on a 50/50 joint custody arrangement with their kids. Yet, in recent months, a new case file originated. And, following that investigation, Meghan lost custody entirely. For now, Meghan only has supervised visitation rights, while Jim now has sole physical custody of their tribe.
According to a source, this decision is only temporary. In the early weeks of December, Meghan will attend a hearing, where the courts will decide whether this new custody arrangement will become permanent or not. If not, Meghan and Jim (with a side assist from Kortnie) will return to their original 50/50 plan.
At this point, neither Meghan nor Jim has publicly spoken about this rather unfortunate plot twist. However, Kortnie has noted other incidents involving Meghan in the past. She even called the police on Meghan earlier this year, which saw her name living in the headlines left and right.

Earlier this year, Meghan reportedly scared the life out of Kortnie. According to reports, which this RHOC alum denies, Meghan went to their house in Missouri to see her daughter. She had a dress to give to Aspen, but Kortnie refused to let Meghan inside, citing that Aspen wasn’t even home.
“Kortnie told Meghan that she wasn’t home and she was at a baseball game with Jim.” But “Meghan became upset.” So, Kortnie closed her front door. To ensure that Aspen still received this article of clothing, Kortnie then allegedly asked Meghan to leave it at their door.
However, after going back inside, Kortnie claims she “heard Meghan inside the home yelling for [Aspen].” Apparently, “Kortnie walked back to the front door and observed Meghan standing inside the house approximately 5 feet from the doorway.” She told Meghan to “get out of [her] house,” to which Meghan obliged, albeit slowly. But then, Meghan “wedged her foot in the door briefly so Kortnie couldn’t shut the door completely,” until Meghan moved.
Later, Kortnie decided to press harassment charges, complete with a restraining order, against Meghan. She even called the police, who came out to their house and investigated all sides of this storyline. Even still, all charges eventually dropped away, thanks to an agreement this feuding family made behind closed doors.
A school employee is reported to have called Child Protective Services on Meghan
One might think Kortnie or Jim opened this new case against Meghan, which ultimately led to her current loss of custody. That would be incorrect. Neither Kortnie nor Jim initiated this investigation. Instead, this case file originated from an employee at their children’s school.
Multiple sources claim that a school employee contacted Child Protective Services, which sparked an investigation. This investigation led us here, to Meghan losing custody of her children. Matters like these are beyond private, so, at first, our information was sparse.
But then, Kelly Dodd rose stood in defense of Meghan. And these are the new details she shared.
“I just got off the phone with Meghan King Edmonds, and she said that she gave one of her other twins, Hayes, some Ritalin [for ADHD], and it made her a ‘dangerous mother,’” claimed Kelly on TikTok. Furthermore, even though she and Meghan have “had a lot of differences and a lot of fights” over the years, she “know[s] for a fact [Meghan is] a good mother.”
Overall, Meghan is an “excellent” parent. So Kelly is now praying that Meghan “gets her babies back.”
