RHOSLC Alum Jen Shah Gets New Early Prison Release Date; Will Be Out Before Christmas

Honey, she’s coming home! After 33 months in prison, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah will be released next month. It’s just the latest in a series of dramatic sentence reductions. Apparently, she’s been on her best behavior behind bars, and it’s paying off in a major way.

As originally reported by People, the Federal Bureau of Prisons just gave Jen the green light to leave prison on December 10. She originally received a sentence of six and a half years for her role in a fraudulent telemarketing scheme. When she went in, she expected to be there until 2029.

If you’ve been following this story, then you know that the feds have reduced Jen’s sentence multiple times, just this year alone. In January 2025, they moved the date to November 3, 2026. This past August, they bumped it up a few months to August 2026. Now, she’ll be home before the holidays. Her manager, Chris Giovanni, said her family couldn’t be more thrilled.

“Everyone’s very grateful for the BOP’s decision, especially because it means Jen will be able to reunite with her family for the holidays,” Chris told the outlet. “It’s a gift she doesn’t take for granted.”

According to Chris, Jen has done a significant amount of work on herself during her stay in prison. Of course, it’s just a different type of self-work than we’re used to hearing about from Housewives. He said Jen reflected on the “seriousness” of her crimes and feels committed to change.

“Jen’s in a really positive, hopeful place mentally,” he explained. “She’s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away, and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before. Her focus is on her family and building a healthier, more grounded life.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs every Tuesday at 8/7c on Bravo, along with next-day streaming on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in Canada, the UK and Ireland.
