Prince George has reportedly begun preparing to be the future king. The young prince was in the news for standing next to his mother, Kate Middleton, at the Festival of Remembrance. Besides, he made headlines for his secondary school, with the name kept under wraps. Now, as per a source, the Prince and Princess of Wales have begun training their eldest son to take up future monarch responsibilities.
Prince George is ‘starting to fully grasp his place in the bigger picture,’ per source
Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly training Prince George to be the future king. An insider recently told Closer, the royal couple has “done their level best to let George have as normal a childhood as possible but it’s now time to start the preparations.” The individual added, “He’ll be 13 next year, so they believe he’s ready,” and further continued, “You can feel a real shift happening with George.”
The source stated how it has been “clear” that George is “starting to fully grasp his place in the bigger picture.” Moreover, “what’s wonderful is that he doesn’t seem to be daunted by it.” The source shared how the 12-year-old “did beautifully at the Remembrance Day services.” They explained, “William was in Brazil so it was a great chance for George to step up and accompany Kate and he took it very seriously.”
The insider also shared, “Luckily he’s the type of kid that wants to make his parents proud. And he does. The way he handled himself for the Remembrance outing was impeccable.” The young royal “earned full marks from everyone that observed him and by all accounts he’s going to be attending a lot more official engagements in the coming months.” Additionally, the insider claimed, “This past year he’s been getting lessons twice a week with a tutor.”
As such, George will “know every detail of what’s expected of him once it’s his time for the throne.” The source also said, “His schooling is the priority, but he’s showing a great interest in everything his father and grandfather do.”
Prince George is reportedly learning Welsh for the time when he will be the Prince of Wales when his father takes the throne. The source concluded, “There will be a lot of new responsibility coming his way.” Nevertheless, the insider believed that the young prince “can handle it, and his family will support him every step of the way.”
