King Charles reportedly has a planned state visit to the US during the first half of 2026. If the plan is put in motion, there may be a chance that the monarch would meet his youngest son, Prince Harry. However, a source claimed that there is no guarantee of the “reconciliation” between the father and the son despite “proximity.”
King Charles unlikely to make ‘detour across the country’ to visit Prince Harry, per source
The possibility of another reunion between King Charles and his son, Prince Harry, is reportedly low. It is allegedly implausible that the monarch would take a “detour across the country” to see his son, especially during a thoroughly planned state visit to the US. As reported by RadarOnline, a source told them that “proximity may not translate into reconciliation.”
Meanwhile, another insider explained why it is so unlikely for King Charles to meet Prince Harry at that time. The person said, “State visits are extremely demanding.” They continued, “With schedules planned months ahead and packed with carefully arranged events to strengthen diplomatic ties.” The source then expressed, “There’s hardly any free time.” The person also added, “And it’s hard to imagine the King making a detour across the country to see Harry and his family in California.”
In the meantime, another source went on to say to the news outlet that King Charles’ “attention will be on the official schedule.” The person continued, “Any family gatherings would be informal and risk diverting attention from the diplomatic priorities.” Another source talked about how, despite such a small chance of the monarch’s reunion with Prince Harry and his family, the monarch would have really enjoyed meeting his grandchildren.
Per the news outlet, the insider claimed, “It’s easy to imagine Charles wanting to see his grandchildren.” The person further said that, however, “Any encounter would steal attention from the visit’s purpose.” “So it’s extremely unlikely Charles will want the distraction of meeting Harry,” added the source.
