The cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is still dealing with what happened on the plane between Meredith Marks and Britani Bateman. When they were flying back from their crossover visit to Below Deck Down Under, Meredith reportedly berated Britani the whole way home. Everybody witnessed it, though Meredith denied anything happened, and her bestie Lisa Barlow backed her up. Unfortunately, cameras weren’t present to capture the alleged meltdown.
Ever since their return to SLC, various cast members have tried to get Meredith to admit her horrifying behavior. Heather Gay even accused her of “gaslighting” everyone. Though Meredith eventually made peace with Britani, the rest of the group is stymied. Why is Meredith acting so strange?
But when Whitney Rose was helping Heather get rid of her “marriage mattress,” she brought up her concerns about Meredith. She was worried that Meredith may have had some drinks on the plane and been in a blackout when she went on her tirade against Britani. Meredith’s “erratic behavior” reminded Whit of her dad and his addiction issues.
Is Meredith Marks’ behavior a cause for concern on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City?
Whereas Meredith accused Heather of “incessantly screeching” at her over the incident, Whitney is more concerned about the jewelry designer’s mental health.
“She’s obviously going through something that she’s not telling us about,” Whitney said in the above video. “Her erratic behavior shows that you’re guarding something and you don’t want to expose it … But you’re frustrated, because you can’t talk about it.”
“I don’t know what that thing is or if there is a thing,” the mom of two continued. “But it seems like this last year, she’s a lot more quiet. She isn’t as fun [or] lighthearted as she can be. When you don’t share with your friends, then we start to speculate on the behavior.”
“If you’re not going to willing to acknowledge it, take ownership, talk through it, share what’s going on,” she added, “then we’re all gonna be left wondering.”
Whitney has been “going through something” herself this season. She’s been very open about the failure of her business rebrand and having to relaunch her Wild Rose Beauty line.
