Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, are reportedly pushing back against claims that David and Victoria Beckham have been trying to repair their strained relationship. The disagreement adds another layer to the long-running family feud that has played out both privately and publicly over the past few years.
Insiders suggest Brooklyn Beckham feels David’s mending claims are untrue
David and Victoria Beckham reportedly had made repeated efforts to reconcile with their eldest son and his wife following a fallout that stemmed from Brooklyn and Nicola’s 2022 wedding. The People’s source claimed the couple has always remained welcome at family gatherings, including David Beckham’s knighthood ceremony in October.
“David and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward,” the source claimed. “Of course invited Brooklyn and Nicola [to his knighting and after-gathering]. They have always been invited to all family occasions or events, whether private or public,” they added.
However, an insider close to Nicola strongly disputed that version of events. “The claim that Brooklyn and Nicola have been invited to all events and that David and Victoria have made honest efforts to mend things is untrue,” the insider alleged. They added, “Neither parents have reached out to Nicola in almost a year.”
The situation has recently escalated further when The Sun reported that Brooklyn allegedly sent his parents a legal notice asking that all communication go through lawyers and requesting that they not tag him on social media. The outlet claimed a breach of the alleged notice—an Instagram “like” from Victoria—led Brooklyn to block both parents online.
David, Victoria, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife do not follow one another on Instagram. The latter couple also do not follow Romeo and Cruz Beckham. Cruz addressed the issue on Instagram Stories, writing, “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as was I.”
As of now, there hasn’t been a public acknowledgment by either party.
