Teddi Mellencamp has been open and honest about her cancer journey. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. Sadly, in 2025, doctors discovered tumors in her lungs and brain. Her treatment plan for the Stage 4 cancer included surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy.
In October 2025, Teddi shared a positive update. “There is no detectable cancer. Not in remission or anything like that,” Teddi stated at the time. However, Teddi still needs to undergo immunotherapy treatment. Still, she is grappling with a host of side effects and the emotional scars from her courageous battle.
Teddi Mellencamp sees she is “slower than I was before”
During her Two Ts in a Pod podcast, Teddi opened up about her struggles. “I think [medications and immunotherapy] take a toll on my body, and I think that I also didn’t properly process all of the things that happened when I had surgery,” Teddi stated.
She continued, “I started doing therapy, and it’s taken its toll on me. I’ve learned that there are certain things, like it’s hard for me to touch and move. I can see that I’m slower than I was before, and that’s really frustrating to me.” Teddi added, “I want to be back to the way I was.”
When her friend and co-host Tamra Judge asked Teddi what she was most afraid of, Teddi responded, “That the cancer is going to come back.” Meanwhile, Teddi’s father, John Mellencamp’s recent statements about Teddi raised alarm bells. “She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now,” the singer said.
In addition, Teddi addressed her dad’s remarks. “There’s still no trace of cancer,” Teddi stated. “But I’m still considered stage IV, and I’m still on immunotherapy, so essentially nothing’s changed other than I still don’t feel great. She added, “I would hope that I would be feeling better by now, but I really don’t.”
The Reality Tea team sends its continued best wishes to Teddi.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
