BDDU’s Captain Jason admits dating in the yachting industry is tough
Captain Jason recently took a break from his likely full DMs to chat with Bravo’s The Daily Dish. While here, he admitted how hard dating was, not only for a captain, but also for the father of a pre-teen girl. He met his daughter’s mother in the yachting industry. And as his next statement proved, their relationship was far too taxing for either party to maintain.
“Yachting’s a tough one,” Captain Jason began. Then, he joked, “I think if the course certification, first paragraph, said ‘Once you get certified as a captain, you’ll never be home again, so say goodbye to your family,’ I don’t think anyone would become a captain. You’re at sea for a long time. [But] It’s great when you’re young.”
Thankfully, now that he’s got a paycheck from Bravo, “Below Deck’s given [him] a great opportunity to shift [his] career,” he explained. So now, he can finally focus on his personal life, because YAS, he’s still single. As far as what he’s looking for, Captain Jason doesn’t “need much. I’m a minimalist,” he explained, but “I just need someone that can be active, loves the water, loves exploring, and loves meeting people and loves a good laugh.”
