Britani Bateman’s decision to break up with Jared Osmond has come as a surprise to him. On Monday, February 9, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star made the announcement, ting, ting, ting, via a social media post.
The cabaret singer claimed to be “walking away” from Jared for good this time. The duo previously called it quits in June 2025, before reconciling shortly after. Meanwhile, Donny Osmond’s nephew claims to be in shock about Britani’s decision.

“Goodbye Baby. You are loved,” Britani wrote on Instagram earlier this week. She included a video montage of the couple’s finer moments to “show the world our relationship” of “the love of my life.”
Jared chose to respond in a statement to Us Weekly. He stated, “I was alarmed to see what looked like a eulogy to me today on her Instagram. I don’t truly understand her mindset. I love that girl. I’ll love her forever.”
He continued, “I want to bless her life. I want to love her and grow old with her and be a man that is there for her and her family and this is very heartbreaking to see yet again her run and due largely because of fear.”
According to Jared, the former couple “had a disagreement” before Britani decided she was “moving on” and “dating herself.” RHOSLC fans saw her strained relationship with daughter Olivia Bateman due to Britani seemingly prioritzing men over her children. Perhaps some time alone will benefit her and her daughters.
“It’s a little surprising for me to see that post,” Jared claimed. “We had a disagreement and it always seems to end the same way.”
Jared called the RHOSLC star his “best friend.” He is confused about her decision to end their relationship, although, given their track record, it may not be a permanent decision.
“She really has been my best friend and it’s confusing. But I love her and wish her nothing but the best. She is such a good woman. I really thought we had big things on the horizon,” he concluded.
