Whoopi Goldberg Has ‘Hit and Run’ Love Life: ‘Not Interested in a Committed Relationship’

Whoopi Goldberg enjoys a fling now and again, as she should. The panelist on The View recently opened up about her personal life, discussing what she enjoys doing in her free time.

The EGOT winner has been married three times and divorced her last husband, Lyle Trachtenberg, in 1995. At 70, the Ghost actress admits to having a “Hit and run” fling with others from time to time. These days, she is “not interested in a committed relationship.”

Whoopi Goldberg got real about her dating life

If you’re a bachelor looking for love, Whoopi is not the person for you. The TV host has been in her share of committed relationships and nowadays would rather live a more carefree lifestyle with some one-night stands. “I bar hop, I go hang!” Whoopi shared on The View.

In the past, Whoopi has been happy sharing details about her romantic life. Last year, she discussed having a relationship with a man 40 years her junior. Her granddaughter, Amara Skye Dean, had previously said that Whoopi once dated a billionaire in his 90s. Amara shared this on the ABC series Claim to Fame.

Throughout her years on that show, Whoopi has been extremely outspoken and not afraid to say what’s on her mind. In September, she declared that “no one silences us.” That statement came after ABC had temporarily suspended Jimmy Kimmel after his controversial remarks in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Since September 2007, Whoopi has been a moderator on The View, replacing Rosie O’Donnell that year. Like Jimmy, she’d also been disciplined by ABC before. In 2022, she was suspended following her claim on The View that the Holocaust had nothing to do with race. She maintained that claim on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, leading to a two-week suspension.
