Dorit Kemsley has faced several issues with her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley. Fans have seen much of it play out in the latest season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As part of her strategy to try to get through to PK, she sat down with PK’s friend and Kyle Richards’ estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky. Dorit now regrets that conversation.
Dorit Kemsley thinks Mauricio Umansky was her husband PK’s “voice on the show”
Dorit had a sit-down with PK’s friend Mauricio. She wanted to get Mauricio’s help to communicate with PK during the divorce. However, now looking back, she regrets it.
Dorit appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and said that the conversation with Mauricio was not at all productive.
“I was naïve to think that what he was saying was true and wanted to believe that he genuinely wanted to help the situation and be unbiased,” Dorit said (at the 1:27 mark.) “I know Mau came in to essentially be PK’s voice on the show.”
“But I think that the thing that upset me most, hurt me most, is that when Mau was suggesting PK does not have a problem with alcohol,” she added. She revealed that PK sat in front of Mauricio the year before, telling him he had “a disease” and admitted to having issues.
She explained that Mau is PK’s party friend and one of his closest friends. Dorit thinks PK needs good friends around him right now. “His kids should be the single most important thing, not having a social buddy who’s going to go out and party with you.”
Dorit concluded, “I think it just upset me, and I gave it oxygen. So that’s why I regret it.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams the next day on Peacock.
