Kathy Hilton threw a party in 2024 that might end up costing her an additional $55k per year for the rest of her life. During a reported charity fundraiser estate sale, Kimberly Heffington, one of Kathy’s guests, tripped and fell. Her injuries, she claimed, were extensive. So, Kimberly initiated a lawsuit against this Real Housewives of Beverly Hills friend. She hopes to recoup all of her future medical expenses, and then some, from Kathy.
Kimberly Heffington claims she was injured at Kathy Hilton’s LA mansion
On August 25, 2024, Kimberly attended a party at Kathy’s 7-bedroom, 8-bathroom, 15,000-square-foot home in Bel-Air. While walking on an outside staircase, which led from Kathy’s tennis court down to her pool, Kimberly stumbled and fell. As to why, her foot allegedly got “caught in between uneven pavers.” And when she fell, she “landed violently on the ground,” suffering “severe and permanent injuries, including but not limited to a complex medial meniscus tear to her right knee.”
So, in 2025, Kimberly initiated a lawsuit against Kathy. As her attorney explained, Kathy failed to mark this area off with traffic cones or safety signs. Therefore, her guests had no idea about these “uneven pavers.” And that makes Kathy negligent.
Kimberly further alleged that some of her injuries are permanent. As a result, Kimberly is now seeking reimbursement for her past, present, and future medical bills, totaling $55K per year, according to TMZ. This number, however, is expected to rise. Ultimately, Kimberly will also need to recoup her lost wages, both present and future.
Kathy has yet to respond to Kimberly’s lawsuit.
