Brittany Cartwright stunned her co-stars on The Valley when she agreed to become Brandon Hanson’s girlfriend after a few weeks of dating. But things didn’t work out for the pair, and they split a little while later. Now, the reality TV star is reflecting on her and Brandon’s romance, which she described as a “short fling.”
Brittany was “just having fun” with Brandon
“It is strange to see Brandon on [The Valley] because that was such a short fling type of thing,” Brittany told PEOPLE this week.
“It is funny, but it is what it is,” she added of their whirlwind romance, which ended after two months. “You live, and you learn. I was just having fun at the time.”
Despite her and Brandon’s short-lived relationship, Brittany explained that she’s “so happy” fans get to see it play out. She also confirmed that they are “still friends” since their split.
“The way I handled [the breakup] was great,” she went on. “I just feel like I’ve learned so much from my past relationships that it was just easy to navigate.”
So, is Brittany back on the dating scene? Not quite. The reality TV star said she is “loving” life being “single as a Pringle” right now.
“I’ve had time to heal and work on myself. I’m always going to keep working on myself,” she said, adding that when she eventually meets someone, she deserves to “be happy and get the butterflies.” Too right!
Elsewhere in the interview, Brittany spoke about what it was like to film without her ex-husband, Jax Taylor. “I’ve been on reality TV for over 10 years now, so this was the first season I’ve ever filmed without [him],” she said.
“I was completely on my own for the first time, and that was really refreshing and made things a lot lighter and easier for me,” she went on.
