Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta know that Porsha Williams is now fully immersed in the lady pond. Some of her castmates didn’t think it would last, but she’s still going strong. Shamea Morton shared her thoughts about Porsha’s relationship with girlfriend Patrice “Sway” McKinney, and how she feels about Porsha keeping it going and not just wading in the proverbial girl pond.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star also gave an update on their friendship
When Porsha first revealed to the ladies that she “dipped her toe in the lady pond,” they were supportive. Porsha introduced her girlfriend, Sway, to the group, and the ladies were happy for her. However, they weren’t all (Shamea) convinced that Porsha would remain in the gal pond for good.
But it looks like Porsha and Sway are beating the odds. Shamea appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and a fan asked her what she thought of Porsha and Sway still going strong.
“Listen, Sway was actually her name,” Shamea said. “She was able to sway Porsha to stay in the lady pond. Good for her. Congratulations! I’ll send a wedding gift if they get engaged.”
Andy took this moment to bring up another fan question. A fan said they felt bad not seeing Porsha and Shamea interact in the new season. She wanted to know if Shamea really felt that things were beyond repair.
Everyone knows that Shamea and Porsha famously blew up their lifelong friendship in Season 16 of RHOA. They are still on shaky ground in Season 17, but they are working on co-existing for the sake of the friend group.
“I’m actually really happy with the space that Porsha and I are in right now,” Shamea answered. “We are able to co-exist. And I would like it if we could continue to keep people out of our stuff. And whatever happens, happens. I’m not gonna force. I don’t expect her to. Let’s just see what happens.”
