Lisa Barlow has given an update on Mary Cosby’s return to filming. It comes after her 23-year-old son, Robert Jr., tragically passed away earlier this year.
Speaking in an interview posted to social media, Lisa described her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City co-star as “strong.”

To recap, filming for Season 7 of RHOSLC was paused briefly when Mary’s only child died in February following a battle with drug addiction. At the time, it was unclear whether the OG would return to the show at all. Now, weeks after Season 7 has wrapped, Lisa has spoken out about exactly that.
“Mary is so strong,” she told PauseRewind at an event this week. “She’s so incredible.”
“I just got chills,” Lisa continued.
“Mary likes to speak for herself. So I’m going to be tender about this,” she added, before offering a final few thoughts. “She is so remarkable and bold and strong.”
“And she loves God,” Lisa went on. “You can tell that God is with her every day.”
Although Mary has yet to speak on her decision to film for the upcoming season, a source gave some insight to TMZ. Per the insider, Mary felt that returning to work on RHOSLC would help her mental health during what must be an incredibly difficult time.
Announcing Robert Jr.’s passing, Mary said in a statement: “Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord.”
“Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace,” she went on. “We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”
