In news that will absolutely not come as a surprise to anyone watching The Valley, Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick have put a pin in planning their wedding.
Despite getting engaged in September 2024, and then welcoming their first child together in June 2025, the pair just revealed their priorities list has changed … and a wedding is no longer at the top.
The Valley’s star couple step back from wedding plans amid uncertainty
Speaking to Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Luke said that becoming a parent has shifted his and Kristen’s near-future plans.
“There’s no [wedding] planning,” he said, coyly.
“No planning has happened,” Luke went on. “There’s been talk, but no actual plans yet.”
“It’s nice that you guys are taking your time,” the interviewer replied, to which Luke elaborated. “Having a kid, you’re finding a whole new identity,” he said. “You’re refiguring out your relationship, and I think rushing into having a wedding right now is the wrong move.”
Elsewhere in the chat, Luke said that “step one” of planning would be going to look at venues, which he suggested would be in Nashville. “That’s in the talking phase,” he caveated, “it’s not in the calendar.”
Nashville or no Nashville, the state of Kristen and Luke’s relationship on this season of The Valley means their decision to pause wedding planning isn’t exactly shocking. And viewers in the comment section agreed.
“I wouldn’t put money on this relationship lasting,” one person commented. “If I was a betting man, I’d say there will be no wedding,” added another.
So far this season, Kristen and Luke have struggled to align with each other – particularly when it comes to sex – following the birth of their daughter, Kaia.
The Valley airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo, and you can stream it the next day on Peacock.
