Welcome to The Valley Season 3 Episode 4 recap. Last time, Brittany introduced her boyfriend, Brandon Hanson, to the gang. Immediately, he involved himself in the drama between Michelle and Jasmine, which annoyed Brittany. In addition, Danny felt that Luke was sus for trying to broker peace with Jason. Here’s what happened in The Valley Season 3 Episode 4: “Mariposa Momma.”
What happened in The Valley Season 3 Episode 4?

Luke and Kristen’s date night turned disastrous. Meanwhile, Lala, Michelle, and Schwartz went out for a singles night. And the meeting between Jason and Danny went downhill fast.
Jesse wants Schwartz to date Michelle in The Valley

Schwartz, Jason, and Jesse met up for beer and mani-pedis. Schwartz mentioned that he, Michelle, and Lala were going out for singles night at The Belmont, which is where he met his ex-wife, Katie Maloney. He clearly felt uncomfortable telling Jesse.
“I thought you and Michelle were starting a little thing together,” Jesse said. “You know I would never disrespect you like that unless it was true love,” Schwartz replied. “I would never shoplift the pooty.” Lordy.
As for Jesse, he would be delighted if Schwartz dated his ex. “If Schwartz and Michelle ended up dating, that is so much fuel for me to use at all times to make the two of them feel uncomfortable,” Jesse said in his confessional. “I feel like, at this point, I’m pushing them into dating.”
Then Jason brought up Jesse’s relationship with Lacy Nicole. “Then, the situation where Janet asked me to block her,” Jason explained, “these are sort of like small, little petty things.” However, it is a big deal for Jesse. “I get along with Jason,” Jesse said in his talking head. “But I’m still pissed at Janet the way she treated Lacy all last year.” Cue the footage from Season 2 of Janet saying that Lacy threatened to send cease-and-desist letters.
Brittany shares her big news

Jasmine, Kristen, and Brittany headed out to dinner. After having her baby, Kristen said she feels “like I’m this weird, new Kristen in someone else’s body.” When Jasmine asked Kristen if being with her friends made her feel “more comfortable being out in public,” Kristen responded that it didn’t. “I literally texted Luke when I got here and said, ‘I’m not leaving the house ever again,’” Kristen replied.
Meanwhile, Kristen brought up the argument between Lala and Jasmine. Brittany owned up to the fact that her boyfriend started the drama. “I was like, ‘Brandon! It shouldn’t have been you being the gossiper!” Brittany said.
“Do you think Brandon’s like a messy person? Is he trying to be messy?” Jasmine asked. Brittany denied it and shared that he asked her to “be his girlfriend.” Both Jasmine and Kristen were stunned that Brittany said yes.
“Just be happy for me,” Brittany said. “This guy’s messy as hell. He lives four or five hours away. He’s got two or three baby mamas,” Jasmine vented in her confessional. “Pop the p*ss, but let’s not pop labels.”
Cigars, scotch, and resentment in The Valley
At the cigar lounge, the boys met to try to mend Danny and Jason’s fractured relationship. “Let’s hear what Janet has to say. I mean, Jason,” Danny joked in his confessional. Jesse brought some Scotch, prompting Danny to remark, “I’d have some scotch, but I don’t want to be labeled by anybody around the table here.” Shots fired.
“There are things that I would like to apologize to you for. I definitely have a lot of regrets about the way that I handled myself emotionally,” Jason told Danny. “I got, for lack of a better word, triggered.”
When asked what triggered him, Jason stated, “I’m very protective over my wife. There was zero organized, systematic thing to take you down.”
Danny responded, “I’m not here to be friends with you, to be honest.” Jason admitted that he felt the same way, adding, “Especially hearing this perspective right now.”
Luke interjected, saying that there needed to be an apology for Janet’s claim, while on the boat in Maui, that Danny “sexually assaulted Jasmine and Michelle.” Jason admitted that he told Janet afterwards that he objected to her terminology. “She feels the same way about that,” he added. “The damage was so major, and inexcusable … and these bridges are burned,” Danny responded. “And he’s rolling his eyes.”
Jason was frustrated. “I’m rolling my eyes a little bit at the excusability,” Jason replied. “If you get drunk and do something f*cking weird and terrible, it’s not just affecting the person that you directly do it to. It’s gonna make other women in the group feel weird, dude,” Jason said. Finally, Luke asked if they could “tolerate each other.” Danny replied, “Time will tell. Time heals all wounds.”
It’s singles’ night in The Valley

Michelle and Schwartz were the first at The Belmont, and Michelle shared that she showed his photo to her friend, Natalie, and she thought that Schwartz was “cute.” In her confessional, Michelle said, “Natalie is one of my best friends. I’m actually really excited because I want her to hook up with Tom.” There goes Jesse’s dream of torturing his ex and Schwartz.
Meanwhile, Lala admitted that she isn’t on any dating apps, but is “really fond of sliding in a DM.” And her signature move? Sending a chef’s kiss hand emoji.
In her talking head, a producer asked, “Whose DMs are we sliding into?” Lala responded, “I am not Scheana Shay. I am not giving you my laundry list of men who I have f*cked. Slid in their DMs.”
Meanwhile, Schwartz and Natalie decided to share his cigarette outside. After they left, Lala admitted that she thought that Michelle and Schwartz could hit it off. “No,” Michelle replied. “I see him as a kid. He’s so innocent.”
In her confessional, Michelle admitted, “I love Tom’s energy, and he’s like funny, but he’s the opposite of what I’m looking for.” She wants “somebody older, more mature,” and “more well-rounded.”
Meanwhile, Lala approved of Natalie and Schwartz. Then, Summer, the nail salon receptionist, showed up and started flirting with Schwartz. Earlier, he told her that he would be there. Sadly, innocent Schwartz has zero game.
However, at the bar, Michelle suggested that Natalie kiss Schwartz. “Just because I wouldn’t date Tom Schwartz doesn’t mean I wouldn’t kiss him,” Michelle said in her talking head. “He’s adorable. He’s like a little cute puppy.” Then, Michelle urged Schwartz to kiss Natalie. Still, the mission was an epic fail. After saying he was tired and talking about his ex-wife, Schwartz departed.
Date night drama in The Valley

Kristen and Luke headed to a nearby bar for a date night. “I don’t want to be a recluse forever. I want to be a mariposa,” Kristen shared in her confessional. Cue footage of Kristen from 2018, saying “I am a butterfly” in Spanish.
As Kristen and Luke were having their pizza, Kristen shared that she was upset with him. “I feel like you’re mad at me a lot,” Luke replied. Apparently, Luke went out for a boys’ night, and she told him to stay out late if he wanted. All Kristen asked was that he not crash on the couch, and help with Kaia in the morning. However, Luke failed both missions.
Finally, Kristen admitted that she felt like Luke didn’t care about her feelings or “respect” her. “I feel the same way,” he replied. She fired back, “Because I don’t f*ck you?”
Luke explained that he is also struggling as a new dad. “I’m not allowed to have a hard time,” he stated. “It’s only allowed to be hard for you.”
“You have empathy for people other than me,” he continued, adding that he has “to walk on eggshells most of the time.” Luke noted in his talking head that he is “2,000 miles and three time zones away from my family.”
Then Kristen dropped a bomb. “You complained about my pregnancy the whole entire time,” the new mom stated. “Luke, I thought you were going to leave me.”
In her confessional, Kristen explained, “There was one specific day. All these mini-moments were making me have total meltdowns. Luke then said, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’” And Kristen thought that he was done.
“It’s like the whole pregnancy, then it’s post-partum,” an emotional Kristen said. “Then it’s L.A. I’m doing the best I f*cking can.” Finally, they both agreed to try couples counseling.
The Valley airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. Episodes will stream on Peacock.
