Annemarie Wiley was allegedly left unaware after Florida prosecutors declined to pursue a domestic violence charge against her estranged husband, Marcellus Wiley. The decision followed allegations the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made about an encounter at a Florida hotel.
The Florida case ended without charges. However, Annemarie’s legal battles with Marcellus continued in California.
Annemarie allegedly received no notice before FL prosecutors declined to pursue the DV charge
According to TMZ Sports, sources close to Annemarie claimed Florida authorities never notified her about their decision. Prosecutors declined to file charges because the testimonial evidence allegedly lacked physical or other corroborating evidence.
Marcellus celebrated the decision on X, writing, “The illusion is OVER,” while arguing that the evidence showed Annemarie’s allegations lacked corroboration.
He later added, “FALSE ALLEGATIONS HAVE REAL VICTIMS TOO,” and said he planned to defend his name publicly.
The Florida decision did not affect Annemarie’s California divorce proceedings or her domestic violence restraining order case. Sources also claimed her temporary restraining order against Marcellus remained active.
According to USA TODAY Sports, Marcellus had faced a domestic battery allegation following his July 4 arrest. Annemarie told investigators that he allegedly threatened to kill her and put his hands on her.
She later filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and alleging a continuing pattern of physical, sexual, verbal, and emotional abuse. She also accused Marcellus of rape and alleged previous incidents of physical violence.
Marcellus denied Annemarie’s allegations. In a July social media statement, he said, “I completely and unequivocally deny these allegations, and I’m certain the truth will prevail.”
He also accused Annemarie of infidelity and claimed she had placed a “voodoo spell” on their family. Marcellus said he would address the allegations through the legal process.
The former NFL player was released after his July arrest on a $1,000 bond. A no-contact order also prohibited him from coming within 500 feet of Annemarie.
