Princess Charlotte shows a delightfully mischievous side when she’s with one special royal family member. The revelation is a refreshing surprise for royal watchers who admire the princess’s poise and manners at events. It offers a gentle insight into the family dynamic away from public duties, showing a more personal side to their relationships.
Princess Charlotte and Mia Tindall reportedly become ‘double trouble’ during royal family gatherings
Princess Charlotte is known for keeping her brothers in check at big royal events. That said, there’s one relative who reportedly brings out a more playful side of the young princess.
The Prince and Princess of Wales’ daughter has a particularly warm bond with her second cousin Mia Tindall, the oldest child of Zara and Mike Tindall. Per Hola!, a royal expert has noted that when the pair get together, they can easily become “double trouble.”
Princess Charlotte is frequently seen as poised during official appearances. She has even appeared to nudge her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis, about royal etiquette. Miss Tindall, on the other hand, reportedly has a bolder, more adventurous spirit.
“Princess Charlotte and Mia Tindall have become best friends, when the cheeky pair are together that is,” Ingrid Seward, royal biographer and editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, revealed to The Sun’s Fabulous.
Their differing personalities may be the very reason their friendship thrives. “But as total opposites they become as one as children do when they are together,” Seward added.
The public has seen hints of their friendship through the years. The royal cousins were photographed chatting and laughing on the 2023 Christmas Day walk in Sandringham. The pair has also appeared together in photos at several other big family events.
Growing up, Princess Charlotte’s father, Prince William, shared a similarly close bond with his first cousin and Mia’s mother, Zara Tindall. “Prince William and Zara were also partners in crime when they were young,” recalled the biographer. “Nannies would dread the two of them being together as they were super naughty, noisy and loved getting into trouble.”
