Prince Harry’s First Public Words Surface Amid UK Return Reports

Prince Harry has reportedly broken his silence amid claims that he could be returning to the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Archie and Lilibet. The Duke of Sussex revealed that he is exploring the launch of a commercial venture aimed at supporting former military personnel.

Harry spoke with US veterans in Washington on Wednesday as reports continued to circulate about the family potentially relocating to the UK.

Prince Harry reportedly revealed that the “world needs more heroes” in his first public words amid reports of them returning to the UK. As per Express.Co.UK, he said: “It’s not about creating more heroes because they already live among us. It’s about being able to really value their expertise, their experiences.”

Notably, the Duke of Sussex made these comments at the event organised by The Independence Fund. For those unversed, the 41-year-old served in the British Army in the past and shared that military skills were not being utilised in civilian life. He also added that he was evaluating a “commercial” solution which he said would value “those who served rather than expect them to volunteer.”

In an interview with the Associated Press, the Duke of Sussex emphasized the importance of good leadership. Harry emphasized: “What we need is the younger generation coming into leadership who perhaps see the world slightly differently. And I think a little less testosterone might do as well.”

As per an exclusive report by PEOPLE, the Sussexes are expected to relocate to Britain later this month. However, the Sussexes will reside in a private, non-royal home base in England. Notably, this will also retain their homes in California and Portugal. The family plans to stay in the UK for an extended period of time. Not only that, their children are set to begin school there in September.

The location of the family’s new home and the children’s school is being kept confidential. King Charles was “made aware of the couple’s plans” on August 16, with the monarch reportedly looking forward to spending more time with his grandchildren.
