The Valley’s Zack Wickham on Why Brittany Cartwright Moved Away From Jax Taylor

Brittany Cartwright is finally saying “rawt in hell” to Jax Taylor’s behaviors. Even with his long-standing history of cheating and combative personality, Brittany still stuck around, and then she even went off and married her man, which, UGH. For many all of us though, the writing’s always been on the walls (of Hooters). This marriage would struggle.

Proving us all right, after 4 years of marriage, Brittany packed up her beer cheese and her baby and moved out. Now separated, the dust is settling, and Brittany’s attempting to find her path forward. That said, I grew annoyed after learning that she had to be the one who left their home. On this, her good buddy and The Valley costar Zack Wickham has a not-so-shocking explanation.

Basically, Jax is still Jax’ing

After she left, Brittany started staying in different Airbnbs for months at a time. Footing the bill for this in their chosen zip code likely isn’t cheap. However, for her own peace of mind, in more ways than one, it’s probably well worth it.

While appearing on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files, Zack first spoke about how Brittany had moved out of her Valley Village home this past January. When Nick inquired, “Why did Brittany have to move out and not Jax?” I cheered. I needed this answered as well, obviously.

In response, helmet-hair quipped “Because Jax is Jax. And he’s never going to do what is nice or easy or best for Brittany, which really sucks.” Zack then added that Jax “can’t get out of his own way, and can’t learn from his mistakes.” To be fair, he also said that “Jax is a great dad,” but “there are so many more bad times” than good, which is why Brittany needed to leave.

He also needs to work on “not being a sh*tty person to the baby’s mom” Zack stressed. To explain, he claims that Jax has been “kind of dehumanizing towards” his estranged wife for years. Insert the reason for Brittany’s move here. May she never return, if that’s what she wants, but also, please want this, Brittany.

The Valley continues every Tuesday at 9/8c on Bravo.
