The Valley fans were surprised that Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright lasted as long as they did. When B moved her life from Kentucky all the way to Los Angeles, viewers knew their relationship was serious. Yet, no matter how much our Kentucky muffin supported Jax it was never enough. Over the years their fights and cheating scandals have made headlines. And even though they stuck it out, their marriage finally came to an end. Here’s where they stand today.
Jax Taylor is walking on eggshells around Brittany Cartwright amid separation and looming divorce
Jax and Brittany are nowhere near settling their differences. Recently Jax spoke with Us Weekly about his feelings towards the lengthy process. The former SUR bartender is struggling with his identity now that he is essentially single again. He told the outlet, “I’ve always been the lead singer of the band. I’m taking a backseat. I’ve become the guy who plays the triangle. It’s hard because I’m so used to being Jax Taylor, this alpha male, but that guy doesn’t exist anymore. He can’t, or he is going to die.” Jax shared that he and Brittany are not doing well. Adding, “Every day is something different. I’m walking on eggshells. I’m trying my best to be amicable. I want us to say, the marriage didn’t work, but we’re great parents and have a beautiful son. Nothing else matters.”
Brittany Cartwright is moving on and had a fling with Jax Taylor’s former best friend, Julian Sensley
Brittany is more than ready to cut ties with her ex. And she is moving on in the most dramatic of fashions. She had a brief fling with Jax’s former friend, Julian Sensley. During the Hot Mic podcast, Jax revealed “I found out by looking at her phone. I saw that she was texting this guy Julian,” Taylor claimed. “I didn’t know how to handle it. So what do you do? Jump back into drugs.” The trailer for The Valley Season 2 hasn’t shown Julian but that doesn’t mean he won’t make an appearance.
In November 2024 Brittany set the record straight. “[Jax and I] did not have a no dating in the friend group policy. We never spoke about that because why would we? First off, I didn’t think I was going to hook up with his friend. It wasn’t planned. I wasn’t trying to go after one of his friends. That’s not how it happened.” Brittany shared that she was currently single and not with Julian.
The Valley Season 2 will showcase Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s separation ahead of their likely divorce
The Valley Season 2 premieres on April 16 and fans should prepare for the drama. Bravo cameras caught a lot of the divorce chaos that went down between Jax and Brittany. In August, amid filming Brittany filed for divorce. One scene shows Jax being served papers at his Valley Village home. Another moment shows Brittany talking about finding a thong on their bathroom sink. If this was just a sneak peek, imagine what the newest season will reveal.
Where do Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor stand on divorce as of April 2025?
As of April, the two are not on good terms. While on the red carpet with Access Hollywood Brittany roasted her soon-to-be ex-husband. When told that Jax noted on his podcast, Inside the Mind of a Man, that he was worried about B she responded, “I don’t think he thought about me one ounce of the time that he did that podcast.” The mother of one added, “We aren’t in a great place. I try but you know.” The last time Jax spoke out on March 26, in his Us Weekly interview he shared, “I will never talk negatively about Brittany, but I’m angry with some of the things she’s done. It takes two to fight. A marriage is a team thing — you’re partners.”
Jax noted “We were in deep, and both of us threw in the towel. She was so hurt, she was throwing daggers. There were scenes I couldn’t even get through; I had to walk out because I was crying. I deserve a lot of it, but some of the things she said just gutted me.” It’s safe to say a lot more will play out once The Valley starts to air again.
