Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s daughter details ‘arguing’ with mom about climate crisis

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s daughter, Violet Affleck, recently gave all the details about an argument she had with her mom at the time of the Los Angeles wildfire crisis. As reported by People Magazine, in a recently published academic research paper, the freshman at Yale University revealed, “I spent the January fires in Los Angeles arguing with my mother in a hotel room.”

Violet Affleck went on to explain how “shell-shocked, astonished” her mother and actor Jennifer Garner, was “at the scale of destruction.” However, this reaction from her mom made the freshman utterly confused. She penned, “As a lifelong Angelena and climate-literate member of Generation Z, my question had not been whether the Palisades would burn but when.”

After that, Violet Affleck also disclosed that she not only argued with her mom Jennifer Garner, but also had a miscommunication with her brother, Samuel Affleck. The freshman recalled that at that time her brother asked her, “”Did global warming have to do with the speed of the wind?”” She then added, “Hopefully, most of us understand the climate crisis better than my little brother.”

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck welcomed Violet Affleck into the world on December 1, 2005. The 19-year-old girl, who has always been an advocate for public health, advocated for free COVID-19 testing and mask availability while standing in front of the L.A. County Board of Supervisors in July 2024. Per another article by People Magazine, she concluded her speech by opposing mask bans.
