Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives ended with a cliffhanger. Layla Taylor spoke to Vanderpump Villa server Marciano Brunette to find out what happened during the girls’ trip to Italy. Layla was expecting to find out some information about Demi Engemann. Instead, Marciano claimed that he allegedly had an affair with another married MomTok member: Jessi Ngatikaura. Now, Layla and Whitney Leavitt are sharing their thoughts on all the affair rumors.

Of course, there were also rumors that Demi, who was Season 2’s villain, may have asked Mauricio to spread this rumor about her former bestie to shift the spotlight off her. After all, Mikayla Matthews and Jessi claimed that Demi wanted to stage a fake affair with Taylor Frankie Paul’s boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, during Season 1. My, these Mormon moms are messy!
Naturally, Whitney, who is now close with Demi, didn’t love that narrative. “I think it’s just so incredibly inappropriate that that was even shared,” Whitney told DECIDER. “So, that’s my answer to that.”
When Layla, who was in Italy with the group, was asked what she thought about all of the affair rumors, she replied, “I think with that, there’s so much that’s been going on. There’s so much behind the scenes, there is so much talk, there’s much he said, she said.” Layla added. “And I think the viewers are just gonna have to keep watching.” Oh, we will.
For Whitney, the final scene in the Season 2 finale was a shocker. “I mean, my jaw definitely physically hit the floor. I mean, no one wants to find that out and to have to find it out with everybody else finding it out with you,” she explained. Whitney added, “I think it’s really hard to navigate. And we’re all figuring that out together because these are our real lives, and these are really serious situations.”
Hopefully, we will get some answers when Season 3 comes out. There is no word yet on when that will air.
