Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s convicted felon Jen Shah may be in prison, but she still tries to keep her followers informed.
On May 30, Jen posted a statement on her website. “Bismillah,” she began, using the Muslim greeting which means “in the name of Allah.”
“I pray that my supporters are SHAHMAZING and doing well. Over the past month, my team has shared with me the many loving messages provided by my supporters,” she continued. “I am in great spirts and well. The consistent love and admiration from my supporters, my loving family, and my faith keeps me going, as I make it through this rehabilitative journey of coming home soon.”
Is RHOSLC star Jen Shah’s prison stay almost over?

When Jen was accused of scamming elderly people in a fraudulent telemarketing scheme, her RHOSLC castmates vehemently defended her. Heather Gay, in particular, was extremely loyal, defending her until the day Jen eventually pled guilty in July 2022.
On the day her friends learned of Jen’s admission of guilt, almost all of them turned their back on her. There are still feelings of betrayal among most of the RHOSLC cast, with the exception of Meredith Marks. Somehow Meredith found the grace to forgive Jen and thinks she could someday return to the show.
It’s not unimaginable that Jen could return to RHOSLC upon her release from jail. After all, Bravo welcomed back Teresa Giudice to Real Housewives of New Jersey following her 11-month stay in federal prison.
But as far as Heather’s concerned, she still holds a grudge for the way Jen manipulated everyone. In her second book, Good Time Girl, Heather talks repeatedly about resenting Jen’s lying to everyone about her “innocence.” I think there’s a better chance of Heather welcoming Monica Garcia back to RHOSLC than Jen Shah.
Originally sentenced to 78 months (six and a half years) in jail, Jen’s sentence has been reduced several times for good behavior. After the most recent reduction, Jen should be home on October 4, 2026, her 52nd birthday.
Meanwhile, Jen’s enjoying her “shahmazing workouts,” in lockup. “I remain consistent in my passion for fitness and helping other inmates achieve similar goals,” she reported. “I can only control what I can control. Until next time, Jen Shah.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is available on Peacock in the US and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
