PEOPLE‘s insider has exclusively revealed that the reason behind the pair’s absence was a third person. It was Brooklyn Beckham’s brother Romeo’s new girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. Turnbull, a DJ, was reportedly linked to the eldest brother in the past. The insider shared, “Brooklyn didn’t want to be in the same room as her, and he told his dad that. But David opted to have Kim there over Nicola.” A second source revealed, “Brooklyn and Kim know each other from the past, and his family knows he’s not comfortable around her.”
The insider continued that Brooklyn and Peltz travelled to London for David’s birthday plans. They also allegedly wanted to take the former footballer to a dinner for an intimate celebration or to attend one of his parties. However, Brooklyn and his wife were shut out, and “they stayed for six days trying to see [David].”
An insider close to the Beckhams told PEOPLE that the pair could have attended “several events where Kim Turnbull wasn’t present.” This also included one of the Beckham family’s parties. Additionally, Brooklyn’s youngest brother, Cruz, confirmed on Instagram that the former was never in a relationship with Kim.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn Beckham’s latest photoshoot with Nicola Peltz has a subtle shade at Victoria Beckham. In the shirtless pictures, the model’s two important tattoos dedicated to his mother have been seemingly concealed by new sets of inks. These were the “mama’s boy” tattoo on the left side of his chest and a heart-shaped “Mum” on his left arm. Additionally, the new flower inks seem to be inspired by Peltz’s bridal bouquet.
Previously, PEOPLE confirmed that there have been “tensions” between Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz and his family. The tabloid even stated that their “relationship is definitely not beyond repair.” The Beckham family “love [Brooklyn] and are always there for him.” However, they are “hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
