Meghan Markle’s kids are helping her to carry on a special Fourth of July tradition
A day after the Independence Day festivities, Meghan Markle took to her Instagram to share pictures and reveal her family’s Fourth of July tradition. The entrepreneur celebrated the happy occasion with her husband, Prince Harry, and children, Archie and Lilibet, in a colorful way.
Markle celebrated this peaceful day in the sweetest way possible by enjoying some delicious cupcakes with her family. In the caption of the post, the duchess shared an anecdote, “Our second date was the 4th of July 2016 and H brought me cupcakes to celebrate.” Markle also mentioned how July 4 became more special with her and Prince Harry’s two children by their side. She stated, “Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition. Happy Independence Day! May your day be as sweet as these cupcakes.”
The As Ever founder shared a carousel of pictures from the royal family’s adorable celebrations. In the first slide, Markle shared images of the colorful and yummy cupcakes. The second one is a blurry image of the power couple smiling and embracing each other. The third and final image was of a big cake with 4th of July written on it. On the same day, Markle had also posted a video of her making mouth-watering fruit salad for the celebration. She captioned the post, “Red, white and blue….and easy to do! Happy 4th, friends. Be safe, have fun.”
Markle has often been in the headlines for her adorable and unfiltered social media game. Last month, she grabbed eyeballs for her viral dance video from the delivery room. She called the clip, which was an old video from when she was pregnant with her daughter, “a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life, a real, authentic, fun life that’s happening behind the scenes.”
