You see, when Season 29 debuts later next year, sweeping changes are coming to this platform, which could turn this series on its head. The coaches for The Voice Season 29 are not the same as those from Season 28. Instead of four judges, The Voice is downsizing to three. This new season, titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, will instead host a panel of coaches comprised entirely of previous The Voice champions

Kelly Clarkson will be one of the three judges on The Voice Season 29. Kelly, through her coaching, has won this series four times. Her contestants reigned supreme during Seasons 14, 15, 17, and 21.

At her side will be coach Adam Levine. Adam has won this series three separate times. His contestants stole the show during The Voice Seasons 1, 5, and 9.

Finally, the third coach for The Voice Season 29 is John Legend. John has won The Voice once, and this win happened during Season 16.

When The Voice Season 29 premieres, we will note many changes in this series. For starters, during the Blinds, all three judges will compete in a Triple Turn Competition. The victor will earn a Battles-round Super Steal, which voids the other coaches’ attempts to steal one of their sought-after singers.

Then, in the Knockouts, each coach can now bring back two singers from their past teams to battle it out in an In-Season All-Star Competition. The coach scoring the most wins is then guaranteed a second finalist in the Top 4.

Finally, during the semi-finals and the finale, superfans and Voice artists from seasons past will be present to cast their votes. This method means that live shows and viewers’ votes are a thing of the past, at least for Season 29 of The Voice.

The Voice is streaming on Peacock.
