In Season 1 of Next Gen NYC, Ariana Biermann made the shocking confession that her mom, Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak, took the money she made as a child to help cover household expenses. We knew there were money troubles in that family, but really, Kim? Were things that desperate? According to her, yes. Things really were that desperate.
Kim Zolciak was “left with nothing”
Kim appeared on the July 31 episode of Watch What Happens Live. It was her first appearance on Bravo in years, and Andy Cohen had to make up for lost time. He jumped into all of the juicy questions, like the money drama we learned about on Next Gen NYC. In Kim’s eyes, taking Ariana’s money felt necessary.
“Actually, the rug was pulled out from under the Zolciaks,” Kim claimed. “Yeah, Arianna’s money was spent on bills, to be honest.”
Apparently, everyone’s piggy banks were fair game for Kim. The RHOA alum revealed that Brielle Biermann also had to pay an electric bill “here and there.” Literally, her daughters were keeping the lights on.
“I was left with nothing, so I had to figure it out fast,” Kim explained.
Of course, her estranged husband Kroy Biermann claimed she had nothing because she gambled it all away. In one of their many divorce filings, he accused her of mismanaging the family’s money and constantly hitting up casinos and luxury stores.
Either way, Kim explained to Andy on WWHL that there is a possibility that Ariana could get a reimbursement. She said she already paid her back for some of the bills and will try to make it right. It just probably won’t happen anytime soon. Kim faces over $1 million in debt from unpaid taxes, credit card bills, attorneys’ fees, and more.
