Kristen Doute might have been the only star on The Valley to have positive news during Season 2. The Vanderpump Rules alum got engaged to Luke Broderick and achieved her dream of becoming a mother. Now, we can’t say the same about Kristen’s friends, but it’s nice to get a break from the darkness to indulge in Kristen’s joy.
We’ve seen, via social media, Kristen and Luke adapt to becoming new parents and nestling into home life. However, they still have a wedding to plan. Kristen recently revealed a few key details about her upcoming big day, including which former Summer House star is planning her wedding.
How Summer House alum Stephen McGee entered the chat
Kristen spoke to People about her wedding planning, admitting, “It has been on a back burner for a really long time.” However, she said that one night, at Brittany Cartwright’s house, they were hanging out with Summer House Season 1 alum Stephen McGee, and the trio started discussing her wedding. “It’s like all of his intuition was into my brain and my emotions,” Kristen said. “He’s like, ‘What about this place or this many people?’ And all of a sudden I’m going, ‘Stephen, you’re a freaking wedding planner. Will you be my wedding planner?'” She totally admitted she “proposed” to Stephen to be her planner, and he accepted the challenge.
Stephen is much more than just a Summer House alum. He produces high-end, luxury events that include, well, the Met Gala. Needless to say, he shouldn’t have a problem accomplishing Kristen’s hopes and dreams. “Biggest weight off of my chest I’ve ever felt. And then I told Luke, and Luke was like, ‘Thank God,'” Kristen added. She’s still working out the details, like if she’ll have a wedding party. If she does, she added that Brittany and Zack Wickham will be included. One fact she does know: she’s going barefoot at the altar. “That’s been my only rule from the get-go,” she added.
