Erika Jayne’s New Boyfriend John ‘Shrek’ McPhee Exposed for Lying About Military Service Record

In case you missed it, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne has been dating John “Shrek” McPhee. He’s a retired army man who also goes by the nickname of the Sheriff of Baghdad. He makes his money by selling “tactical” gear and is also a security guard for Heidi Montag.

John’s entire brand is built on his military experience. He describes himself as a “retired US Army Special Operations Sergeant Major.” However, a recent exposé accused him of misrepresenting the service, and it looks like Erika might be coupled up with another perpetual liar.

John “Shrek” McPhee was reclassified after serious misconduct charges

A new video called “The DARK Truth of John ‘Shrek’ McPhee” explained how John had his Special Forces and Green Beret designations revoked after a series of misconduct charges. Although John boasts of his background in the Special Forces, he was reclassified to regular infantry in 2009.

This isn’t just hearsay. The details came from the US Army Human Resources Command. Their documents show that he didn’t retire as a Sergeant Major, nor as a member of the Special Forces.

According to the records, John faced a series of misconduct charges throughout his years in the military. Take a deep breath before you continue reading, because this is a long and troubling list.

The misconduct charges against John include adultery with a fellow service member and multiple DUI charges. He also faced accusations of domestic violence. The personnel documents show he was specifically removed from the Special Forces due to his “excessive abuse of detainees,” which was considered to be contradictory to the unit’s mantra.

His superior said that his actions were “an absolute departure from the moral, ethical, and legal standards required of our most senior non-commissioned officers” and showed “utter lack of judgment and blatant disregard for these standards of conduct.”

The exposé also highlighted a series of fabricated tales about Johns’ deployment histories. One example showed him telling a story about parachuting into an Iraqi minefield during Desert Storm in 1990. The military personnel records easily debunked that tale. Not only was he not enlisted in 1990, but Desert Storm combat operations ended while John was still in basic training in February 2021.

John hasn’t responded to the exposé, but a quick scan through his Instagram comments shows plenty of people asking him to clarify his military experience. Perhaps he can take some lessons from Erika on the art of deflection.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
