Are you wondering how Ariana Biermann and Riley Burruss’ friendship is going now that Next Gen NYC Season 1 is done? Ariana’s got you! The budding fashion entrepreneur gave an update on her BFF. They are still going strong and have “got each other’s backs.”
The girls initially had a bit of tension going into Next Gen NYC because of their moms. Ariana is the daughter of Kim Zolciak, and Riley is the daughter of Kandi Burruss, both of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The two ladies had a falling out in 2013 due to a lawsuit and haven’t restored their friendship since. Because of that, Ariana and Riley haven’t spoken since they were kids. They reconnected on Next Gen NYC.

Thanks to their hit show, Ariana and Riley were able to finally revive their friendship. They even talked about the possibility of getting their moms back together at some point, too, so we’ll see how that goes. For now, it’s enough that they’re back to being friends.
That friendship is still going strong today. Ariana shared some fun Instagram stories on Riley’s 23rd birthday last August 22. She shared a series of photos of the two of them together, both old and new. She also added sweet messages to each of the photos.
In one photo, the girls are hanging out with a pig at the beach, and Ariana wrote, “I’m so grateful for you.” Another snap was of the girls smiling and hugging. On this one, Ariana wrote, “IDK how I’d do New York without you.” And another photo of them at an event together said, “I got you always.”
She even posted a photo of them as kids and said, “Happy birthday to my best friend.” Riley re-posted this and replied, “OMG throwback!”
It’s nice to know the bond that they rekindled during Next Gen NYC is still going strong. Maybe someday Kim and Kandi can take a page from their daughters’ books and let bygones be bygones.
