Dynamics changed and alliances shifted on Real Housewives of Orange County. In the midst of it all, the most tragic breach of friendship occurred between Katie Ginella and Jennifer Pedranti.
The duo were close, until a “failed” polygraph test on Season 19, Episode 9, had Jenn questioning the validity of their friendship. Ultimately, it was the yoga studio owner that pulled the plug. And Katie was left thinking whether there was even a place for her in the group. Now, the former friends addressed the status of their relationship in a recent interview.

A producer on the RHOC After Show prompted Katie to tears after he said it would be “one of the last times” she hung out with Jenn. Meanwhile, all the rumors surrounding Gretchen Rossi’s “naked wasted” night took its toll on Katie. And she was the “most hurt” that Jennifer never reached out to check if she was alright.
“If the tables were turned, I would’ve called her, [texted] her,” Katie claimed during the interview. “Even if I thought she was in the wrong, she’s a friend; I would’ve checked on her … She said all she needed to say, without saying anything.”
However, Jenn did reach out via “text exchange” at some point since filming. She explained, “She [texted] me that she was heartbroken. I said, ‘I have been heartbroken, too.’ And she said, ‘I’m available if you want to talk.'”
The mother-of-five continued, “Here’s the thing: Yeah, let’s have a conversation, but you gotta meet me with some realness.”
The ladies have conflicting opinions on whether this is really “the end” for them. While Jenn answered that it “probably” was, despite the season being “so hard” to watch, Katie is not giving up.
“In her eyes, I guess, that was the last straw; it wasn’t for me,” Katie shared. “Even though it’s been hard and really hurtful, I could still move on from that with Jenn because I care about her so much. I was disposable. I just can’t figure out why she won’t back me up.”
