Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow worked hard to repair their friendship after the latter’s hot mic moment in Season 2 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Since then, Meredith has tuned out a lot cast chatter about Lisa.
And Season 6 is no different. With plenty of questionable meltdowns from the Vida Tequila co-founder, Meredith is working overtime to defend her friend. Most recently, to Beauty Lab owner, Heather Gay.
Meredith Marks talks “reactive abuse” on RHOSLC Season 6
Meredith appeared on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live to discuss the recent drama. Right now, the RHOSLC cast is rallying to help Angie Katsanevas and Lisa make amends before their luxury yacht trip.
In a game called, “Can You Defend Her Round 2?” Meredith was asked to “defend” some of “the most outlandish moments from Baby Gorgeous this season.”
The first few questions were harmless enough. Meredith acknowledged that Lisa “was on a business trip” for Angie’s Class A Getaway. She also called the “posterboard” of Lisa and John Barlow “on a a yacht amidst the sea of legal documents” a “lovely photo.” Two rounds down.
Host Andy Cohen asked a tougher question. He said, “Can you defend Lisa bringing up what she learned about Whitney’s failed business on TikTok in front of everyone at her luncheon?”
“Again, we’re talking about this reactive abuse. Can I defend it? No. But do I understand it? Yes. What’s good for the goose should be good for the gander,” Meredith replied.
The jewelry designer also said she “would not blame” her friend for “not being vulnerable in this group.” Other RHOSLC star have targeted Lisa for “not opening up about her personal life”
Really, the only indefensible thing Lisa said, according to Meredith is that “Angie looks like Jen Shah.”
Britani Bateman’s claims that she and Lisa were “like sisters” were just that. While, Lisa’s “constant name dropping of her celebrity clients” isn’t Meredith’s “vibe.” She added, “But if it makes her happy, so be it.”
Finally, Andy asked, “Can you defend Lisa for being upset she can’t bring glam on the yacht?” Meredith responded, “I mean, I think we all would have liked to bring glam on the yacht.” And the yacht trip feels like the only way to get this group together.
