Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars is quickstepping towards the finish line. Once again, judge Derek Hough has critiqued the contestants and handed out advice. He joined DWTS in 2007 as a pro dancer, along with his sister, Julianne Hough.
After competing for 17 seasons and taking home six Mirrorballs, Derek departed the show. However, he returned in 2020 and took a spot at the judge’s table. Meanwhile, Julianne, who served as a judge for five seasons, became co-host of DWTS. It really is a family. Of course, Derek is known for his Emmy-winning choreography and dancing chops. And now he is touring once again.
Derek Hough is headed out on a 2026 tour across North America
Derek, who is one of the fan-favorite pros of all time, is sharing his love of dance with a new tour. PEOPLE exclusively reported that Derek is launching a 40-city tour. The tour, titled Derek Hough Symphony of Dance: Encore, will showcase “high-energy choreography, stunning stage production, and astounding versatility.”
The tour will run from June through August 2026. Of course, Derek will entertain fans by dancing in a variety of styles, including tap, salsa, ballroom, and hip-hop. Plus, Emmy-winning choreographers Tabitha Dumo and Napoleon Dumo, also known as Nappytabs, will be part of shaping the tour. The married duo will direct and co-create the tour’s choreography. That will be an amazing collaboration between Nappytabs and Derek!
As you may recall, Derek launched three previous successful tours: Derek Hough Symphony of Dance, Derek Hough Dance for the Holidays, and 2019’s Derek Hough Live: The Tour. Presale tickets will become available on November 12 for Derek’s new tour, while general sales in most areas will start on November 14, 2025. Tickets may be purchased at derekhough.com.
And if Derek wasn’t busy enough, his wife, dancer Hayley Erbert, is expecting their first child. While the couple knows the sex of their baby, they are keeping it a secret.
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It will stream on Hulu the next day.
