FINALLY! Some good news in 2020. Teddi Mellencamp got fired from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. After three seasons of boring us with her dual residence up Kyle Richards‘ ass and in John Mellencamp’s shadow, we are done seeing the self-proclaimed accountability coach on our TV screens.
Finally, the Bravo execs are listening to the fans. Now, we will wait and see if anyone else got the boot from the show. We all know that refresh is needed. She, clearly, thought she was safe, thanks to her pal Kyle. She’s even been answering questions about “next season” in her Instagram Stories. This had to be quite the shock for Teddi. I wish it was filmed, but anyway…
It wasn’t exactly shocking when Denise Richards announced her exit from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. After a pretty easy first season, her second round was anything but enjoyable.
Kyle Richards made fun of her personal appearance, multiple times. Lisa Rinna turned her back on their friendship of over 20 years. Erika Jayne and Teddi Mellencamp argued with Denise’s husband Aaron Phypers to avoid talking about their own lives (beyond promoting their business ventures). Dorit Kemsley and Garcelle Beauvais had Denise’s back, but it wasn’t enough for her to stay around. And, you know what, who could blame her?
It would be a complete shock if Brandi Glanville got her diamond back on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. How does that old saying go? Don’t buy the cow if you can get the milk for free. Why would Bravo shell out a full-time paycheck, or even a part-time paycheck, when they could milk the Brandi drama from a couple guest appearances?
Oh, and let’s not forget the fact that Denise Richards left the show. Now, there’s really no reason to bring back Brandi in a greater capacity. Brandi even said that Denise “won” and “f*cked” her again since Brandi probably won’t become a Real Housewife without Denise around. Yet, now, a few days later, Brandi is denying that she used Denise for a reality TV comeback. Girl, we all see right through that. Yes, we all see Denise lied many times over, but that doesn’t mean we are siding with you and your inconsiderate plot to out a married woman on television.
I know the women of the modern-day Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would have you think that “bringing children into it” is as dramatic as it gets. But do you remember how this franchise got started? Shit was dark. Camille Grammer literally outted Taylor Armstrong’s domestic abuse story to the world. Mostly because Taylor was putting all the other Housewives in a very sticky situation. Then, season 2 ended with Russell Armstrong’s suicide. It was…a lot.
Since that time, Taylor has been on Couple’s Therapy with her new man, been remarried, and still continues to share her opinions on the cast like 7 seasons later. Hey. She worked hard for that zip code, baby.
Lisa Rinna had quite a season on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Lacking her own storyline, she used her time vilify another cast member. Along with dancing around in varied stages of undress, this is her thing now. Lisa also managed to take a 20+ year friendship with Denise Richards and allow it to deteriorate in a sea of accusations and rumors. It was all speculation, but because of a few ambiguous texts and unreliable sources, most of the ladies deemed it as fact.
Much like the scandal involving a dog that we will never name again, viewers lost another cast member. As a result of being ganged up on and perhaps falsely implicated, Denise said hasta la vista to women who seemed to forget all previous experiences with Brandi Glanville aka THE TRUTH TELLER. Rinna didn’t mind exposing Denise’s purported infidelity and discussing it to excess, but we all know she isn’t too keen when someone brings up HER relationship. Recently, someone accused Harry Hamlin of extra-marital indiscretions on social media and Lisa responded. Now ladies and gentlemen, let’s talk about the husband…
Everyone take a deep breath. This might be the one redeeming moment in all of 2020. Let me first say this report has not been confirmed, but word on the street is, Teddi Mellencamp will NOT be returning to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I will wait whilst you prepare your fireworks and celebratory adult beverages.
It is probably safe to say the majority of RHOBH viewers reached an impasse with Teddi. She struggled to bring anything relevant to the show, aside from the occasional bewildered look and a co-dependent relationship with Kyle Richards. Oh, what will Kyle do without her package deal? The Hills are alive with the sounds of diamonds dropping. Allegedly.
Denise Richards’ spot on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is still warm. What I mean by that is that fans still aren’t over her hasty departure. And by fans, I mean me, specifically. I can’t remember the last time a Housewife had such promise only to fly too close to the sun. Sigh.
And much like on the latest season of RHOBH, everyone is picking a side. Too bad only Garcelle Beauvais and Dorit Kemsley seem to be in Denise’s camp. It certainly wasn’t enough to keep Denise signed on. Hell, it was barely enough to get her through the season.
