To say Real Housewives of Dallas star Brandi Redmond has had a tumultuous couple of years is putting it mildly. After publicly berating former cast member LeeAnne Locken for making fun of Kary Brittingham’s heritage, Brandi found herself at the center of her own tone deaf drama. In an odd coincidence, after Brandi made a video mocking Asians, RHOD’s first Asian cast member came on board for Season 5. Now Brandi often struggles making basic conversation when newbie Tiffany Moon is in the room.
Brandi’s family also suffered a devastating loss. Bryan Redmond’s mom lost her life in a car accident that included Brandi’s daughter in the vehicle. Thankfully, Brinkley Redmond wasn’t injured. After Brandi announced a surprise pregnancy, it seemed the black clouds were beginning to part. Unfortunately, a nasty little rumor never that seemed to go away suddenly gained more fuel. In the past, people have side-eyed Bryan’s fidelity. Earlier this month, a video leaked that seemingly looked like Bryan getting busy at da club with a woman, who was definitely not Brandi. Now Kameron Westcott shares her thoughts on… The Bryan Tapes.
Brandi Redmond has had quite the season so far on The Real Housewives of Dallas. After seemingly working through her racism scandal, she’s finding herself at odds with the other women in the weirdest fights ever. She continues to be incredibly awkward around Tiffany Moon out of deep paranoia. Now, she’s in a random feud with D’Andra Simmons whom she believes has somewhat turned her back on Christianity.
For some reason Brandi is choosing the oddest hills to die on, and it’s getting weirder by the episode. For someone who is in tune with ghosts and spirits, it’s strange to watch her pick apart D’Andra for a meditation exercise. There may be a ring of truth to the claims that Brandi is acting like a cafeteria Christian. She’s picking and choosing what parts of her faith she wants to acknowledge. There’s no way she’s going to come back after all of this.
There’s that saying, “Don’t yuck my yum.” In this case, some people’s yum is a racist. Just calling it like I see it. Brandi Redmond was aired out a little over a year ago for her brazenly offensive video mocking an Asian accent. She checked herself into a wellness center. Then, against better judgement, Brandi returned to this season of Real Housewives of Dallas. It hasn’t gone exceptionally well.
This season, Brandi has continuously burdened the newest Dallas Housewife Tiffany Moon, who happens to be Chinese. Not with giant dildos, like we’re used to, but with her personal struggle of being constantly ignorant. I’m still baffled that Brandi openly told Tiff she was struggling to be her friend because she’s afraid to say the wrong thing in front of an Asian? Which part of that is anyone else’s burden to bear? Can she not hear the words that come out of her own thin lipped mouth?
D’Andra Simmons‘ finances are none of my business, but I have always been pretty perplexed by her financial situation. I remember when LeeAnne Locken said she had $200 in her bank account and Brandi Redmond got D’Andra a necklace she wanted but didn’t (or couldn’t?) buy at the time.
We’ve seen D’Andra ask her mom Momma Dee Simmons to cut back her money received from their company. We’ve seen a lot of confusing conversations between them about their company and family finances. This season. D’Andra talked about the drama behind her late father’s second will and how the money she received put her at odds with some family members. It’s all so confusing to me (and again, none of my business), but it seems like D’Andra and her company are doing much better these days.
On last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas, D’Andra Simmons was out of control on a level we’ve never seen before. Alcohol was flowing freely, and so were tense family emotions. Momma Dee Simmons didn’t think twice before spilling an alleged secret about D’Andra. According to Dee, D’Andra strategically changed her last name to Simmons so it would take her further in life. That’s quite the bold accusation.
We’ve seen Tiffany Moon struggle to fit in all season with the group. On top of that, her work stress level has been an all time high. She’s also finding it difficult to manage all of that while also trying to be the best mother possible. With a lightened work schedule greenlit by her supervisor, she has one final task ahead of her. Tiffany has to break the news about this career shift to her mother. This could come across as a massive insult to her. Let’s dive in!
Real Housewives of Dallas fans have been doing their detective work this week. After that video circulated of Bryan Redmond (or someone who looks like him) making out with a woman who isn’t Brandi Redmond, fans waiting for a confirmation, a denial, or just some actual acknowledgment of the video.
Nothing has been said or even implied. However, the plot thickens. A married country music star has denied allegations that he hooked up with Brandi.
Tiffany Moon has had to talk Brandi Redmond off a ledge all season on The Real Housewives of Dallas. There’s no reason for it. She’s not responsible for Brandi feeling uncomfortable. Every event turns into a therapy session needed to coddle Brandi’s fragility. That needs to stop. Tiffany has nothing to do with Brandi’s paranoia. That’s all on her.
D’Andra Simmons has showcased her spiritual journey all season of Real Housewives of Dallas. Even though the shaman stuff is a little weird at times, if it’s helping her, that’s what matters. She’s opening herself up to snide comments and criticism from the other women by hosting them for her shaman event. This tends to be a very judgmental group. I don’t think this is going to turn out the way she’s intending.
Brandi Redmond simply cannot find her way off the struggle bus. A little over a year ago she admitted herself to a wellness center following a very deserved call out for her racist impersonation of Asian people. Now she finds herself on a show with a pretty badass Chinese immigrant. In her first year as a Housewife, Tiffany Moon seems to have been single handedly charged with taking on the emotional struggle of a woman to whom she owes less than nothing. Stephanie Hollman has even caught on to Brandi’s inability to stop burdening Tiffany.
Meanwhile, Brandi has cryptically announced a potential departure from Real Housewives of Dallas. This comes after she and Bryan Redmond’s announcement of baby #4. Maybe she’s taking time to be with her family? Or maybe she’s caught on to many fans’ disillusionment with her behavior this season? Or maybe there’s something to these blind items that keep circulating…
