It seems like a lot of people are saying good morning to everyone but Kelly Dodd. The Real Housewives of Orange County might have lost both Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge, but Kelly is sticking around to be the fly in everyone’s ointment. Flies are trending today, you know! I’m not sure if Kelly is completely tone deaf or just really great at trolling, but she definitely knows how to keep her name in the media.
Not everyone finds Kelly’s shenanigans humorous. Right now our political climate is touchy, people are exhausted and sensitive. Things we might have once found funny are now seen as careless or tone deaf. Much of what Kelly says could be labeled as ignorant, but if you’re looking at Kelly to be a reliable source of anything, you’re on the wrong road. Recently, Kelly posted a photo of herself wearing a Drunk Wives Matter hat, which mocks the Black Lives Matter movement. She has been receiving a lot of flak, with viewers calling for an RHOC boycott. Now Real Housewives of Atlanta star and activist, Porsha Williams can add herself to the list of people saying good morning to everyone but Kelly.
Kelly Dodd has spent 2020 offending people on the internet (and probably in real life). She has made many controversial statements about the coronavirus, including the time she described it as “God’s way of thinning the herd.” Kelly said that people are “going to die anyway” when she downplayed the severity of coronavirus. She said “no one is dying in Orange County.” She has even posted “jokes” and memes about coronavirus.
She also got in some hot water, when a video from 2016 resurfaced where she said she “doesn’t like black guys,” which led to Tamra Judge saying that Kelly should be the next one fired. Kelly clapped back by saying she has experienced racism as “a woman of color.” In case anyone was confused by that statement, Kelly is of Mexican descent. And, to cap it all off, she wore a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat at her bridal shower, dismissed the backlash, and declared. that “all lives matter.” What a dramatic year for Kelly. And, just think, Real Housewives of Orange County hasn’t even started airing yet.
For some reason Kelly Dodd still has a job on Real Housewives of Orange County. The COVID-denier has been spewing false information about the virus for basically the whole pandemic. In spite of her own co-star, Shannon Beador, testing positive for COVID, she’s still saying ridiculous things.
Kelly being tone deaf and insensitive is not a surprise. Her only amazing moment on RHOC was when she accurately described Emily Simpson’s husband, Shane Simpson, as a “lil bitch.” Other than that, Kelly is terrifying. She knows no boundaries, goes for the jugular, and is just “woefully uniformed” like Andy Cohen says. This week, Kelly’s making more headlines for being ridiculous, insensitive, and tone-deaf.
Who’s on your list of worst Housewives husbands? Shane Simpson and Jim Marchese are definitely on mine, and so is David Beador. Mostly because he’s a cheater, a gaslighter, and posts pictures like this. Seriously, David, are you ok? Or just having a prolonged mid-life crisis?
David had been cheating on Shannon Beador since before they appeared on Real Housewives of Orange County. Many of the RHOC ladies knew about it too, but stayed quiet. They finally divorced in April 2019 after too many seasons discussing “THE AFFAIR.” Since then, David has been growing desperate-looking locks and posting embarrassing pictures of him and his now pregnant fiancé, Lesley Cook. The happy couple is now revealing the baby’s gender.
What a toxic mess The Real Housewives of Orange County has become. The new season is rapidly approaching, and it’s already stirring up controversy. Kelly Dodd has been under fire recently for her comments regarding coronavirus and the ongoing pandemic. Sometimes it borders on plain scary. Hopefully, people aren’t turning to Kelly for advice on how to handle this.
Newcomer Elizabeth Lyn Vargas had all the potential in the world to be a decent Housewife. However, all of that is already out the window. Sure, Kelly is getting dragged daily for her ignorant comments, but Elizabeth should have sat this one out. Stepping in to the fire that is defending Kelly is the worst possible idea for the freshman Housewife. Instead of garnering fan support, they’re going to want her gone. Pandora’s box is officially open.
You never know what’s going to happen when you give Brandi Glanville a mic. Andy Cohen now knows that better than anyone. She put him in the hot seat on the latest episode of her podcast, and it did not disappoint. Naturally, they discussed RHOBH and Denise Richards‘ exit after two seasons. Brandi is still miffed that she has no real opening to get back on the show with Denise gone.
However, it was the topic of Real Housewives of Orange County that caught Andy off guard. He wasn’t at all expecting the bomb Brandi was about to drop on him. As most people know by now, Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson will NOT be back for the new season. If you ask Brandi, they might think it has something to do with their age. Down the rabbit hole we go.
Things aren’t always as they appear, especially on reality TV. Sometimes, a person seems like she’s happily married. And, then, all of a sudden, there’s a divorce filing in the news.
Word on the street, and by “street” I mean “according to a blind item on Instagram” a Real Housewife recently separated from her husband. As the term “blind item” suggests, no specific names were mentioned, but there were plenty of hints to narrow things down.
Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s main storyline on Real Housewives of Orange County (aside from sticking her tongue down Tamra Judge’s throat) was the fact that she and Sean Burke have seven kids together.
We didn’t get to know all of the kids, but we did hear a lot about their daughter Rowan Windham-Burke, her struggles with her mental health as a dancer, and her line of dance apparel
that her parents funded. Rowan recently lashed out at her mom via Instagram, which is very Generation Z of her.
