This summer, Scheana Shay revealed that she went through a miscarriage. This was around the time that the news broke that Stassi Schroeder is pregnant. Soon after, Lala Kent and Brittany Cartwright shared their pregnancy announcements, which wasn’t surprising since they made an actual pregnancy pact with Katie Maloney.
After experiencing her miscarriage, Scheana announced that she and her boyfriend Brock Davies are expecting their first child together. He has a son and daughter from a previous marriage who live in Australia.
Vanderpump Rules viewers saw Tom Sandoval go all out as one of the best men in Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s wedding. He saved the vodka at the after party, he brought spare alcohol, he had tampons on hand, he had (black?) umbrellas to protect people from the heat. The list goes on and on, but it seems like he went all out to execute this role.
However, Jax gave him a low grade as best man. And so did Stassi Schroeder’s mom Dayna Schroeder. Yes, this is the same woman who told her own daughter she wasn’t good enough for her own boyfriend and wished that Stassi was more like Kristen Doute.
Unlike most other reality TV shows, the Vanderpump Rules crew actually does hang out when the cameras aren’t rolling. It’s not like the Real Housewives shows when they take a big break and spend the first two episodes of every season “catching up.”
The Vanderpump Rules socializing and the Vanderpump Rules drama go all year round. That’s why it’s so sad that Kristen Doute is on the outs with Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney. Kristen is the one who introduced Stassi and her now-fiancé Beau Clark, yet she wasn’t there when they celebrated the proposal. Stassi’s frienemies (at best) Scheana Marie and Ariana Madix were at the post-proposal celebration at Lisa Vanderpump’s mansion, but Kristen wasn’t. Stassi’s mom Dayna Schroeder confirmed a rift between Kristen and Stassi soon after the proposal, but nothing has really changed. Kristen also wasn’t invited to the formal engagement party a few weeks later. That really has to sting.
Even though zero episodes of Vanderpump Rules Season 8 have actually aired, fans are already aware of a major storyline: Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute are feuding. Katie Maloney is in the mix as well, on Stassi’s side, of course, but the “Kristen vs. Stassi” narrative is getting a lot of play in the pre-season chatter.
Fans were suspicious when Kristen was noticeably absent from Stassi and Beau Clark’s engagement festivities. Stassi’s mom Dayna Schroeder even confirmed a rift between them. Then, Stassi went wedding dress shopping with Katie and Brittany Cartwright with a shout out to Lala Kent, who couldn’t make it, but zero mention of Kristen in the photo captions. Eventually, Stassi said she was “taking a break” from Kristen and Kristen commented as well. Now, Lisa Vanderpump is weighing in on the feud. We all know she hates Kristen (almost as much as she dislikes Kyle Richards). She even has Kristen blocked in her phone and on social media. So, it’s pretty obvious who LVP is siding with on this one. But, let’s see what the Pump Rules matriarch has to say.
It’s hard to make a trio of best friends work. Usually, someone is on the outs. And that is exactly the case with Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, and Kristen Doute. Currently, Kristen is on the outs, but each member of the Witches of WeHo have all taken a turn.
Stassi was on the outs when she ditched her friends and Pump Rules to move to NYC and begin anew. She came back into the fold a short time later, after practically begging to be back in the good graces of Kristen and Katie. For awhile, Katie took a break from the group and buddied up with Scheana Marie. But no one could survive a one-sided friendship for long, so Katie came back to the group. Kristen also took a turn on the outs for sleeping with Stassi’s ex, Jax Taylor. But why is Kristen on the outs this time?
Peace and harmony amongst the Vanderpump Rules Witches of WeHo trio of Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney was bound to end at some point. We’ve seen the three at odds many times before. For instance, when Kristen admitted to sleeping with Stassi’s ex-boyfriend, Jax Taylor. Or when Stassi treated Katie and Kristen like crap, moved to New York to be with Patrick Meagher, and then came groveling back when she couldn’t make it on her own.
However, the trio was in a good place last season. The only hitch happened to be Kristen’s
deadbeat boyfriend Brian Carter. Stassi and Katie made it loud and clear they felt Brian was taking advantage of Kristen, but Kristen wasn’t having it. Still, everything seemed fine between them. Until the past several months, that is.
It’s weddings and engagements galore on Vanderpump Rules. The newest season will feature the Kentucky fried
sham wedding of Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor. Viewers will be treated to a Disney princess themed wedding in a castle, where we get to hear Brittany say “I’m making the biggest mistake of my life just to be on TV” “I do” in between guzzling shots of tequila and beer cheese. Can’t wait.
I’m not sure if we’ll see Randall Emmett’s proposal to Lala Kent, but I hope that we don’t. I don’t have the stomach to hear Lala say, “Yes, daddy,” after Randall pops the question. Barf. Watching Beau Clark propose to Stassi Schroeder in a cemetery is more my speed. I’ll happily watch Stassi’s wedding as well, it will be anything but boring and it will be in Europe. But will Stassi decide to have her wedding filmed for viewers?
Even though fans haven’t seen a single frame of footage from Vanderpump Rules Season 8, the devoted viewers have followed the drama on social media. It seemed like Kristen Doute, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, and Scheana Marie unfollowed Jax Taylor on Instagram.
However, Kristen revealed that he actually blocked her. And, if that is true, he presumably blocked the others as well…. even though they were all just members of the wedding party for his June nuptials to Brittany Cartwright. How awkward for Brittany, the self-proclaimed peacemaker.
